What does a bookkeeper do for a small business?
A bookkeeper’s main responsibility is to organize and manage the daily transactions for your business. Having complete and accurate financials makes it easier for you as a business owner to make financial and business decisions and lets you see the complete financial health of your business at any time.

How much is bookkeeping services?

Is there a list of bookkeeping services?
Yes, go to the Services page for a complete list. If there is something you need help with that you don’t see on the list, I’m happy to get on a call and discuss your specific needs.
What happens after I sign up for services?
After you’ve signed up for services, you and I will get on a call to get to know each other better so I can assess your current needs and create a plan to get started. After the call, we will walk you through some onboarding procedures where I can gather all your information and set up your processes. After that, we will be off and running!
What qualifications do you have?
I have been doing bookkeeping for more than 20 years and am a QuickBooks expert. But on the off chance, I come across something I’m unsure of, I have a network of highly qualified financial professionals that are a great resource to help me find the right solution for you fast.
Do I have to sign a contract?
I do not require a contract and you can cancel your services at any time. But, there are a few service packages that off a discount for a time commitment. I do require an Engagement Letter that is used to protect both you and me during our business together.
How do I know my information is safe and secure?
I take your privacy and security very seriously. i use a client portal that offers the same security as your online bank app. It is a closed application which means that not just anyone can create an account and it uses 256-byte encryption to keep all person and business information secure. I also offer multiple options to exchange the vital information needed for me to complete your bookkeeping. I give you several options so that you can choose the one that makes you the most comfortable.
What information do I need to share?
Ideally, I need access to your bank and card account statements. I offer multiple secure ways for you to share this information with me. You can choose the option that you are most comfortable with.
Do I have to have a QuickBooks Online subscription?
Yes, in order to make everything as transparent as possible for you and for me to do my job, you are required to have a QuickBooks Online subscription. If you already have a subscription, you can simply give me access to your account. If you don’t, I am able to offer you a discount on your subscription and work with you to get your account set up properly. In the near future, I will also be offering bookkeeping through FreshBooks.
If I have questions, how do I reach out?
You can reach out to me any time via call, text, or email. My normal business hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. If you reach out any other time, I will get back to you the next business day.
Do you file my taxes for me?
No, I am not a CPA and I don’t file income taxes. As a bookkeeper, my job is to prepare your books for an accountant or CPA. If you don’t already have an accountant for your business, I can refer you to one. I will also work directly with your accountant to get them everything they need in order to file your taxes saving you the time and hassle of being the go between!
